Abstract

Institutional repositories are an effort to collect and preserve scientific works in digital form from an institution. This effort arises because of the vast development of the internetand a paradigm shift in library services, namely open access. This paradigm demands that the collection of scientific works from institutions be easily and widely accessible. To disseminate this paradigm, the Cybermetrics Laboratory releases a Higher Education ranking system named Webometric. This ranking is made based on the number of scientific works and teaching materials published on the web. Based on this ranking system, Poliban as a higher education based on vocational in South Kalimantan occupies a position in 13926 world rankings and 360 in Indonesia. This research proposes the development of institutional repository at the Library of Banjarmasin State Polytechnic. The Eprints application is used as an institutional repository application. The results of this study indicatethat the Eprints application has been successfully implemented to collect scientific work of the academic community within the Banjarmasin State Polytechnic.
